About SunDensity

Discover Our State-of-the-Art R&D Facilities.

SunDensity is driving leading-edge research and development at its facilities located in Rochester, New York and Toronto, Canada.

We Make a Powerful Difference with Proprietary Technology.

SunDensity is a coating and materials company dedicated to developing unique solutions utilizing advanced photonics to capture sunlight to enhance its potential for various benefits: clean, renewable solar power and optical instrumentation. Our Low-E Solar Control solutions also efficiently limit detrimental impacts such as heat gain in homes and buildings, reducing energy demand for environmental control.

Winning Recognition from Colleagues and Customers.

In addition, we were also the proud recipients of the ‘Company of the Year’ and ‘Innovator of the Year’ awards at Luminate NY 2020. We received a $1 million investment from New York State through the Finger Lakes Forward Upstate Revitalization Initiative, which is administered by NextCorps. Luminate is the world’s largest business accelerator for startup firms primarily focused on optics, photonics, and imaging-enabled technologies.

Putting Our Technology — and More People —
to Work.

In addition to creating award-winning, leading-edge technology, we’re creating more jobs, right here in Rochester and around the region. We’re developing our Photonic Smart Coatings (PSC™) at our R&D facility to uniquely capture these breakthrough opportunities and create others we have yet to discover.
